He is a remarkable and active player since a very young age. He took his first step into the era of chess when he was 8 years old. Till then he is on the way of engraving his name among the biggest player around the world. He played chess for the first time with his uncle which increased his interest in the field of chess. From that day onwards he insisted on doing something in the field of chess. His father Mr. Haribhau Gaikwad who works in Central govt. encouraged him and then he joined class at the age of 9 under the guidance of Mr.Ashok Jain who proved out to be his good mentor. His mother Mrs. Rajni Gaikwad is a Home-maker and he has a younger sibling named Smruti Gaikwad who just gave her boards.

Showing immense interest in chess and his efforts made him to play more chess and got 1900 rating when he was in 9th std. being a science student he became inactive in the next 3 consecutive years that is he took break from chess. He came up with flying colors in 12th by clearing his JEE MAINS and again started considering himself in the field of chess and gained 2300 rating. Currently he is pursuing his B.A (first year). This young guy finally released his interest in chess and has now made way to become NEXT CHESS GRANDMASTER.

Speaking about the achievements he has earned 2 medals in school national (under-14 and under-19) and has peak rating of 2374(2016). He has won many laurels in Pune rapid matches held in local levels. He has being a runner up by securing the 2nd position in School state championship. He has been winner in Mumbai mayor’s championship for 2 consecutive years (2015-2016).he has recently been a runner up in the open district championship.

His role model and the person who inspires and motivates a lot is GARRY KASPAROV. This man needs no introduction as we all know. Siddhant has been proving a good knowledge center by becoming a good coach and teaching students chess which is a good deed done by him. This guy proves that you should have the urge to do something from your heart family support is not going to make you what you want to be fully.
